Crispy Fried Smashed Potatoes

INGREDIENTS

  • 1kg of cocktail potatoes

  • 150grams garlic and herb butter

  • Salt to taste

METHOD

  1. Prepare your chimney with Samba’s Lump Charcoal and Samba Natural firelighters.

  2. While you wait for the coals to heat up, boil your cocktail potatoes until a knife goes in easily.

  3. In a small pan, add your cubed butter with grated garlic and herbs. Place the pan on the hot plate and wait for it to melt together to create an aromatic butter mixture.

  4. Place your boiled potatoes onto the hot plate and smash them with the bottom of your glass then baste them with your herby garlic butter.

  5. Cook both sides until golden brown and crunchy. Sprinkle with some salt and then devour!
